Note
Most resorts in Tioman Island will close
temporarily for 3 months every year, normally between 1st
November through 31st January the next year. Seaouting
activities are stopped, except for occasional short
distance ventures when the sea is calm and weather is good. However, during this period
special prior arrangement by self-supporting groups wishing
to stay or conduct/participate in training programs or other
types of non-seaouting activities in the resort will have to
discuss with the resort authority beforehand. These groups will have to be self-sustainable
and the resort
can often make arrangement for food, stay and provide all
the necessary supports! Timing of entry/leaving each day
into/out of the island resort is subject to ferry schedule
which is dependent on the weather and maritime forecasts.
